The Lost Forest

This is a submission to Ludum Dare 47.

The Lost Forest is a Touhou-style STG Prototype Game using Danmakufu. It talks about the story of a girl and her new friend’s friendship (mainly).

The game is created by XGN and Zzzyt from Hell Hole Studios. We created all the music & SE & Graphics in 72h.

Features:

• Touhou-style STG: Although it's not a Touhou fangame, it is inspired by Touhou heavily.
• Loop system: Play the same stage over and over until you meet the given requirement to break the loop
• Infinite lives: We want to make it easy for everyone, from newbies to experienced players
• Four Difficulties: As normal Touhou games
• A weird story: A story about friendship and children with mental diseases
• Homemade Engine: Built on TestSTG3, a homemade engine by XGN on top of Danmakufu
• Built-in manual: An in-game manual about the mechanics, controls, storys, etc.

Controls:

• Arrow keys to move
• Z to select/shoot
• X to cancel/bomb
• Esc to pause
• Ctrl to speed up
• Shift to slow speed
